And there was good cake for all (from Nigella Lawson's "Feasts" book, the chocolate espresso cake. I added a chocolate ganache-like drizzle and some confectioner's spangles for fun.

The Schwan delivery truck came by yesterday and brought us Mediterranean Vegetable blend. Rather than put it in the lasagne (wouldn't that have been good? but no one else here but me would've thought so), I made a bed of a serving and put the lasagne on top. Lileks-esque photography aside, it really did taste good. And this lasagne baked up nice and thick, I am not sure why. Maybe because I used the oven ready noodles instead of the usual pre-boiled ones.
Tasty in the pan, but just wait:
Decked out in a little Fiestaware bowl, with its dressing of blueberry sauce and just a dollop of sour cream. Great breakfast on a semi-snowy April morning (29 degrees out and a skiff of snow on the rooftops).
